About Me

Jo Gniel is a counsellor and educator and the founder of landscape of life; dedicated to building human connection; helping people create healthy relationships and wellbeing in all aspects of life.

Not so long ago, Jo could be found walking the boards of a global giant as an innovation and change leader. Since leaving the theatre of corporate life Jo has been driven by a desire to have a positive impact on the lives of others, contributing her business knowledge, practical approaches to wellbeing and love of collaboration within the wider community.

She has contributed to a range of projects and programs for organsiations including Breast Cancer Network AustraliaBreaCanBreast Friends for Epworth Freemasons Hospital, Olivia Newton John Cancer & Wellness Centre and Sacred Heart Mission.

As part of the organising group, Jo has been instrumental in establishing the Melbourne Community for Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (MCEFT).  MCEFT seeks to provide information within the wider community about how Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can help couples develop stronger, healthier relationships and support excellence in EFT practice through the provision of learning and development for couples counsellors. 

Jo has also, expanded her professional toolkit with qualifications in Bio-Medical Science, Counselling and Psychology and professional development in the field of couples and family relationships at the Bouverie Centre, Williams Road Family Therapy, Stepfamilies Australia, Relationships Australia and the Australian Psychological Society.

Today, Jo integrates the paradigms and practices of modern psychology and neuroscience, Western relational psychology and Eastern contemplative practice to help people develop a better understanding of themselves and others, navigate the challenges and transitions of life and live a more wholehearted life.
